About Daily
Stacy Maiano sold her first pieces of jewelry as a teenager in 1989 and has been experimenting with jewelry design ever since. She received a B.A. in Fine Arts-Design from The George Washington University, and after working for several years in the magazine industry, she decided to go it alone as a freelance graphic designer. This new found freedom afforded her the opportunity to pursue her long-time passion of jewelry design. After studying under accomplished silver and goldsmiths, Stacy established her own style and with the encouragement of family and friends she started Daily in the fall of 2003. In October of 2008, Stacy expanded her business, launching a new online home and accessories boutique, Red Sail. The complete collection is now sold online exclusively in the Personal Style section of ShopRedSail.com. Click here to shop Daily jewelry now.
Daily jewelry is designed to carry you seamlessly from work to cocktails, and weekend barbecues to weddings. The entire collection is handcrafted by Stacy in her Portland, OR studio. Most designs are made in limited editions and some pieces are one of a kind. Using sterling silver or 14K gold fill as a base, Stacy incorporates a wide variety of materials such as semi-precious stones, vintage beads, coral, turquoise and Czech glass to create pieces that are stylish, playful, elegant, and completely affordable. Daily has appeared in Lucky, The Washington Post Magazine, and Washingtonian.

Jewelry Maintenance
The Daily online store aims to describe and represent each piece in an accurate fashion. Please be aware that different monitors are color calibrated different ways, and therefore the color of a piece can only be approximated. Also note that, while I do my best to hand pick matching gemstones, all stones will naturally vary to some degree in color, size, and shape.
Soap, salt water, chlorine in swimming pools, perfume, hairspray, and perspiration take their toll on jewelry. The best maintenance is to remove your jewelry prior to swimming, bathing, and exercising. Apply perfume and hair care products before putting on your jewelry and be sure to remove your jewelry before bed.
Wipe your jewelry carefully with a soft cloth to keep it clean. To prevent metal from tarnishing, store it wrapped in a soft cloth and place in a zip lock plastic bag when it's not being worn. Exposure to air causes silver to tarnish so keeping it in a sealed container will help. You can place Non-Tarnish strips in with your silver jewelry to slow the natural tarnishing process. 3M makes great Non-Tarnish strips.
