What is Red Sail’s return policy?


Fine Jewelry is defined as items which include any amount of platinum or solid gold of any carat.

Retail purchases of Fine Jewelry may be returned for a full refund via the initial form of payment within 10 days of purchase or shipment delivery, whichever is later, and may be returned for store credit within 30 days of purchase or shipment delivery (again, whichever is later). After this 30-day time period, Fine Jewelry may not be exchanged or returned. 

Returned Fine Jewelry must be in pristine, unworn condition, and include all original packaging. This rule is firm.

This policy does not apply to custom-made fine jewelry or fine jewelry that has been personalized, engraved, or that has been resized or made at a special, non-stocked size to accommodate a specific customer, etc. These items are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.

Cash refunds are not offered. In the event a Fine Jewelry purchase was made with cash, a refund will be issued by check. Additional processing time may be needed to prepare such refunds. Proof of purchase is required for exchanges and refunds of Fine Jewelry. Additionally, proof of identity is required for refunds by check. Check refunds will not be issued to or payable to anyone other than the initial purchaser. 

Please contact us at orders@shopredsail.com or visit our brick & mortar store to initiate a return within the time periods described above. Do not ship your item until you receive confirmation from us. There is no refund or reimbursement on shipping/handling charges. Please let us know the reason for your exchange — we strive to provide the best possible service and product for our customers.

Returns of Fine Jewelry must be sent by purchaser via USPS Priority or more expeditious method, fully insurance, and ample padding to protect your item during shipment. Red Sail will not be responsible for inadequately packaged or insured items or items damaged during shipment in any way.

Upon receipt of your Fine Jewelry in original pristine condition, we will issue the store credit via gift card or refund via the original payment method or check for initial cash purchases.


Items may be returned for store credit only within 30 days of purchase provided they are in their original condition, in their original packaging, and accompanied by the Red Sail sales receipt. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Sale items are not eligible for return. After receiving your order, you must contact us at orders@shopredsail.com to receive a return authorization number. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your store credit or exchange.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@shopredsail.com.

When returning your item, we highly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


What are the restrictions for sale codes and coupons?

Coupons and discounts can not be combined, only one can be used per transaction. They can not be used on the purchase of gift certificates, or applied to previous purchases, and they do not apply to discounted or "sale" items.

What forms of payment does Red Sail accept?

Online we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. Online purchases are processed by Shopify Payments. We do not keep any credit card information on file here at Red Sail.

How can I place an order?

Orders may be placed through this website, by email at orders@shopredsail.com, or by phone at 971-266-8472 between the hours of 10am and 5pm Pacific Time, Monday – Friday.

What happens if the item I order is not in stock?

While we do our best to keep all of our merchandise in stock, on occasion pieces sell out faster than we can update our inventory. In this instance, you will be notified by email and given the choice to cancel, or back-order the item.

What is Red Sail’s privacy policy?

Personal contact information (email address, mailing address, phone, etc.) submitted to Red Sail via this website and our social media channels is kept confidential. No personal information provided to Red Sail will ever be sold or distributed to anyone. We may use personal contact information for announcements or information about promotional contests.

By using our site or social media channels, you consent to our privacy policy.


When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing: With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. If you’d like to be removed from our mailing list, please follow the unsubscribe instructions included at the bottom of any mailing you receive from Red Sail.


How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
